Common use of Negotiators Clause in Contracts

Negotiators. ‌ District employees who are official representatives of the Union for the purpose of meeting and conferring on a successor agreement shall be given time off with pay for such purposes. Such employee representatives shall submit written requests for excused absences to their respective supervisor, with an information copy to the Fire Chief or designee, at least five (5) calendar days prior to scheduled meetings whenever possible. The number of employees who shall be excused for such purposes shall be determined by the parties.
