Minimum Necessary Standard and Creation of Limited Data Set. Business Associate’s use, disclosure, or request of PHI shall utilize a Limited Data Set if practicable. Otherwise, in performing the functions and activities as specified in the Agreement and this Addendum, Business Associate agrees to use, disclose, or request only the minimum necessary PHI to accomplish the intended purpose of the use, disclosure, or request.
