Common use of Midnight Shift Clause in Contracts

Midnight Shift. The hours of work for those employees engaged in a shift, the major portion of which falls between 24:00 and 08:00 hours (12:00 midnight and 8:00 a.m.), shall be any eight (8) consecutive hours, including adequate time off for lunch, for five (5) days per week.

The hours of work for those employees engaged in a shift, the major portion of which falls between 24:00 and 08:00 hours (12:00 midnight and 8:00 a.m.), shift shall be any identified as the shift that commences between 9:00 p.m. and 5:59 a.m. Midnight shift employees shall work eight (8) consecutive hours, including adequate time off for lunch, for five (5) days per weekwhich includes their lunch break.
