Common use of Merit Board Clause in Contracts

Merit Board. A. All Grievances of employees in representation units represented by the Union shall be processed under Section 25 unless the employee elects to apply to the Merit Board on matters within its jurisdiction. B. No action under Steps 3, 4 and 5 of Subsection 25.1 - Definition and Procedure and Step 5 of Subsection 25.2 - Step 5 - Expedited Board of Adjustment above shall be taken if action on the complaint or grievance has been taken by the Merit Board, or if the complaint or grievance is pending before the Merit Board.

B.
