MENTORSHIP PROGRAM. Teachers new to the profession shall be offered a plan of assistance developed by the beginning teacher and an experienced teacher colleague who volunteers to be a mentor, in consultation with the Principal or designate or Superintendent or designate. Such a plan of assistance shall include an appropriate instructional assignment and two (2) days' release time for both the beginning teacher and the mentor for observation and interaction.
