Maximum Load Guidelines. Education Department Class size and composition will be consistent with applicable State Regulations and Guidelines. Teachers (primarily working as Vision Specialist, Special Education Itinerant Teachers and Early Intervention Teachers) The load of each Teacher shall consist of 50 one-half hour sessions a week, not to exceed an aggregate of 50 sessions as defined in the Individual Education Plans, in consultation with the Director of Children's Services and Education Supervisors. Therapists The load for each Therapist shall consist of 50 therapy Certified Occupational sessions per week, as determined by the Therapist Therapist Assistant Supervisor in consultation with the Physician and the Licensed Physical Therapist. Each session may be individual or group as Therapist Assist determined by the Therapist Supervisor in consultation with the Therapist. Aspire, in consultation with the Therapists, will make every effort to assign a load to each Therapist such that the aggregate prescribed therapies for the assigned client shall not exceed the 50 therapy sessions per week. Adult Day Treatment Assignment of clients will be made with a view toward providing sufficient staff to comply with quality assurance requirements of reviewing agencies with a daily average guide based on a monthly calculation of 8- 10 full-time equivalent clients per bargaining unit staff involved in the delivery of treatment services (developmental specialists and treatment aides). The Agency will provide additional staff as program needs dictate, including but not limited to when clients in a single facility exceed 110. Residential Services Sufficient staff to comply with quality assurance requirements of reviewing Agencies will serve as an overall guide. In the Intermediate Care Facilities, during the weekday hours of 4:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. and during other than scheduled night aide hours on the weekend, every effort will be made toward maintaining a staff to client ratio of 1 to 5 clients for the specific purpose of implementing goal oriented programs. (Goal oriented programs are those treatment objectives written in behavioral and measurable terms and prescribed by the Interdisciplinary Treatment Team of the ICF.) This ratio may be adjusted on the basis of the type and number of goal oriented programs to be implemented during a weekday 4:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. period.
