Common use of Maintenance of Effort Clause in Contracts

Maintenance of Effort. The County agrees that it will continue to fund indigent defense for the term of this agreement, at a minimum, at the level of its most recent budgeted level of funding (the current fiscal year or the planned budget for the next fiscal year if that budget has already been developed) for indigent defense and as part of this support the county agrees to provide the space, equipment and operating expenses necessary to effectively operate the circuit public defender office in Xxxxxxx County as described herein.
