LONGEVITY LEAVE. As a recognition for years of service, Employees shall be credited with additional “Longevity Leave” at the following tiers, which are not cumulative and subject to the following conditions: 1) For employees who have worked for the city for more than 10 years (as of Jan 1st each year) 8 hours of longevity leave will be provided. 2) For employees who have worked for the city for more than 15 years (as of Jan 1st each year) 16 hours of longevity leave will be provided. 3) For employees who have worked for the city for more than 20 years (as of Jan 1st each year) 24 hours of longevity leave will be provided. 4) For employees who have worked for the city for more than 25 years (as of Jan 1st each year) 32 hours of longevity leave will be provided. Longevity leave will not be prorated. Longevity leave will not be carried over (banked) and must be used by Dec 31st of each calendar year. Longevity leave will not be cashed out for any reason. Longevity leave will not be construed as hours worked for calculation of overtime consistent with Article 14 Section 14.3 Overtime.
