Common use of Licenses, Permits, Fees and Assessments Clause in Contracts

Licenses, Permits, Fees and Assessments. Consultant shall obtain and maintain during the term of this Agreement, at its sole cost and expense, all necessary licenses, permits, certificates and approvals required by law for the performance of Services under this Agreement, including a City business license. Consultant shall have the sole obligation to pay for all fees, assessments and taxes, plus applicable penalties and interest, which may be imposed by law and which arise from or are necessary for Consultant’s performance of the Services required by this Agreement. Consultant shall indemnify, defend and hold harmless City, its officers, employees or agents, against all such fees, assessments, taxes, penalties or interest levied, assessed or imposed against City hereunder.
