Level I. 17.3.1.1 Within 30 days after the occurrence of the acts or events giving rise to the grievance, the grievant must present his or her grievance in writing on the form prescribed by the District to the grievant’s immediate supervisor. However, the grievant is encouraged to discuss the issues informally with the appropriate District official before actually filing the grievance. The District will extend the time limit for filing the grievance if there is a reasonable probability the grievance will be resolved informally.
