Common use of Leave - ONA Provincial President Clause in Contracts

Leave - ONA Provincial President. A nurse elected to the office of President of the Ontario Nurses’ Association shall receive a leave of absence for up to two years. This term can be extended to a second term. The nurse shall continue to accrue seniority and service during her absence. During such leave of absence, the nurse’s salary and applicable benefits shall be maintained by the Employer and the Association agrees to reimburse the Employer the amount of the full cost of such salary and applicable benefits. The nurse agrees to notify the Employer of her intention to return to work at least four (4) weeks prior to the date of return.
