Lead Mechanic. A Lead Mechanic is a Mechanic who in the course of his work as a Mechanic also leads, directs, and approves the work of other employees under his direction. A Lead Mechanic may be required to sign appropriate Company work records, to sign for his own work and for the work of others under his direction; provided, however, that such signing shall not relieve any other employee from responsibility for the work which such employee performs or from being required to sign appropriate Company work records.
