Common use of Interpretation of Law Clause in Contracts

Interpretation of Law. Under no circumstances will the Trust, the Distributor or any of their affiliates (excluding Participating Investors) be held responsible or liable in any respect for any statements or representations made by them or their legal advisers to the Company or any Contract Owner concerning the applicability of any federal or state laws, regulations or other authorities to the activities contemplated by this Agreement. Under no circumstances will the Company or any of its affiliates be responsible or liable in any respect for any statements or representations made by them or their legal advisers to the Trust, the Distributor, or any of their affiliates, concerning the applicability of any state insurance law or regulation, federal or state laws, regulations other authorities to the activities contemplated by this Agreement.
