Typically, this clause outlines the process for making such requests, including any notice requirements, pricing adjustments, or limitations on the maximum increase allowed. Its core practical function is to provide flexibility for the buyer to adapt to changing needs while ensuring the supplier is prepared to accommodate larger orders, thereby preventing disputes and ensuring smooth contract performance.
