Common use of Important Information About Procedures for Opening a New Account Clause in Contracts

Important Information About Procedures for Opening a New Account. To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person who obtains an Account. What this means for you: when you apply for an Account, we will ask for your name, address, date of birth, and other information that will allow us to identify you. We may also ask to see your driver's license or other identifying documents. Accounts are opened subject to our ability to verify your identity by requiring acceptable types of identification. We may validate the information you provide to us to ensure we have a reasonable belief of your identity. If we are not able to verify your identity to our satisfaction, we will not open your Account. We reserve the right to not open an Account for anyone in our sole discretion. We may also limit the number of Accounts that you have in our sole discretion. Your Account is subject to fraud prevention restrictions at any time, with or without notice.
