Common use of Impact of New Legislation Clause in Contracts

Impact of New Legislation. Any provision of this Agreement that is found contrary to law but becomes legal during the life of this Agreement shall take immediate effect upon the enactment of the enabling legislation. Similarly, any provision of this Agreement that may require legislative action for its implementation or its funding shall not become effective until the necessary legislation has been enacted and becomes effective; conversely, if legislative changes occur during the life of this Agreement that make it illegal or impossible to fund any provision of this Agreement, the obligation of the Administration hereunder to that extent shall be suspended.
