Immediate Supervisor or Department Head. The employee (and the Delegate, if requested by the employee) shall present the grievance in writing to the immediate supervisor or department head within fourteen (14) calendar days of the employee's knowledge of the facts that constitute the grievance and the parties shall attempt to resolve the problem immediately. A Step I meeting shall be held within fourteen (14) calendar days of receipt of the grievance. The immediate supervisor or department head shall respond in writing to the grievance within fourteen (14) calendar days of the meeting.
