Holiday Qualification. To qualify for holiday pay under this Article, an employee must be a regular, full-time employee, who has actually worked a minimum of thirty (30) days from the day of hire as of the time the holiday occurs, and must have worked all of the scheduled hours he was scheduled to work the last day he was scheduled to work before the holiday and the next day he was scheduled to work following the holiday, except in cases where the employee's absence on such day or days is due to the fact that such day(s) occur during his regularly scheduled vacation, or unless he presents an excuse acceptable to his department head.
