Hiring Committee. 12.4,1 When more than one (1) internal employee applies for an open position, or when no internal employee is hired to an open position, a hiring committee shall be struck to make recommendations to the relevant Personnel Manager or designate for the position being filled. 12.4,2 The hiring committee shall consist of a least two (2) members of the Bargaining Unit of which at least one (1) shall be chosen by the Union. The Union may waive its right, without precedent, to have a Union chosen representative sit on a hiring committee where there are no internal applicants for the position. 12.4,3 The hiring committee shall consist of at least one woman. If the hiring committee has four (4) or more members, at least two (2) shall be women. 12.4,4 The hiring committee shall not exceed five (5) members.
