The Higher Qualifications clause establishes requirements or standards for individuals or entities to possess qualifications that exceed a baseline or minimum level. In practice, this clause may specify that personnel assigned to a project must hold advanced degrees, certifications, or specialized training relevant to their roles, or that a contractor must demonstrate experience beyond standard industry expectations. Higher Qualifications. ‌ (1) On obtaining an appropriate specialist qualification acceptable to the Australian Medical Council (AMC) or recognised by the Director General of Health, a Registrar shall, unless appointed as a Senior Registrar, automatically progress to Level 10.

For example, if I agree to work 12 weekend shifts in a year (say, 2nd Sunday of each month) only those shifts are part of ordinary hours. Any extra shifts picked up in excess of what is rostered or in excess of 38 hours is still overtime.
