Common use of HIGHER GRADE Clause in Contracts

HIGHER GRADE. If an Employee relieves for more than 1 hour and not more than 4 hours a day or shift they will be paid at the higher rate for the hours performing the higher duties. If an Employee relieves for more than 4 hours during a day (or shift) or more than a total of 20 hours in any one week, they will be paid the higher rate for the entire day or shift or the whole of the week, as the case may be.
