High School Graduation. High school teachers are expected to attend the high school graduation unless excused by the principal for good reason. Other teachers are encouraged to attend the high school graduation. If graduation is scheduled for Friday evening of Memorial Day weekend, all teachers in the district are encouraged to attend. High school teachers choosing not to attend graduation on the Friday of Memorial Day weekend, must notify the building principal of his/her decision by Wednesday of graduation week.
