Common use of Health Leave Defined Clause in Contracts

Health Leave Defined. Health leave is a period of time that an employee is permitted to be absent from work due to illness, compassionate leave (Article 25.11) and various health related absences including medical, dental, paramedical and counseling appointments. Health related medical appointments are generally expected to be scheduled outside of regular working hours. Where this is not possible, they are to be scheduled so as to minimize any disruption of the work day.
