Grievance Time Limits and Exclusive Remedy. a. Any grievance not initiated, advanced to the next step or answered within the time limits specified herein will be considered settled on the basis of the last answer by Management, if the Union does not advance it to the next step within the time limits, or on the basis of the Union's last demand, if Management fails to give an answer within the time limit. Time limits may be extended only by written mutual agreement by Union and Management.
