Grievance Steps. Step One. Within five (5) working days of an incident that forms the basis for a grievance or knowledge thereof, the Union and the Employee will present the grievance to the Employee’s immediate administrator with the objective of resolving the matter informally. Within five (5) working days after presentation of the grievance, the immediate administrator may give an answer verbally to the Employee. The Employee may have the chief ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ and/or chapter chairperson present. The Union must clearly indicate to the administrator whenever a concern is being expressed as a grievance. The statement of grievance on the grievance form shall name the Employee(s) involved, a statement of the facts giving rise to the grievance, identify all the provisions of the agreement alleged to be violated and indicate the relief requested with a copy given to the Union and the grievant at the time of the meeting.
