Common use of Granting Clause in Contracts

Granting. Upon request of a faculty member, the University shall grant a leave without pay for a period not to exceed one (1) year unless the University determines that granting such leave would be inconsistent with the best interests of the University. Such leave may be extended upon mutual agreement.
