Common use of General Relationship Clause in Contracts

General Relationship. The Grantee agrees in all matters relating to this Grant, it shall be acting as an independent contractor and shall assume and pay all liabilities and perform all obligations imposed with respect to the performance of this Grant. The Grantee shall have no right, power or authority to create any obligation, expressed or implied, on behalf of DCF and shall have no authority to represent DCF as an agent. The relationship of DCF to the grantee is not affected by the grantee’s status as a for-profit or a not-for-profit entity. All terms and conditions within this award shall apply regardless of grantee’s status.
