FTE reductions. If an employee requests to decrease their FTE, the employee must submit the request in writing to their manager. The request should indicate that they are requesting to give up that portion of their FTE on a permanent basis. The manager must approve any FTE decrease. An FTE decrease does not need to go through the posting process described herein. Examples of considerations of the impact of an FTE decrease are benefit eligibility and tuition assistance.
