Common use of Four Hour Minimum Clause in Contracts

Four Hour Minimum. An employee who, after having left the plant upon completion of their last regular shift or assignment, returns to work not continuous with their next shift, shall be paid a minimum of four (4) hours pay at the appropriate overtime rate. Where the employee is required to return to work in relation to correcting paper work that the employee had previously carried out or failed to complete as required, they shall only be paid for time worked at the appropriate overtime rate.
