Formal Levels. A. Step One - If an alleged violation is not resolved through the informal step to the satisfaction of a grievant, a formal grievance may be initiated. Such grievance must be initiated no later than twenty (20) workdays after the occurrence of the act or omission giving rise to the grievance. The grievant must present such grievance in writing and shall state the facts giving rise to the grievance, shall identify by appropriate reference the provisions of this Agreement alleged to be violated, shall state the contention of the Unit Member with respect to these provisions, and shall indicate the specific relief requested. Within ten (10) workdays after the initiation of the formal grievance, the immediate supervisor shall investigate the grievance and give his/her decision in writing to the grievant. 7 Article 7- Sections 2 and 8.d.
