The 'Flagging Traffic' clause establishes a process for identifying and reporting unusual or suspicious activity related to data or network traffic. Typically, this clause requires parties to monitor traffic patterns and promptly notify relevant stakeholders if anomalies are detected, such as unexpected spikes in usage or potential security breaches. Its core function is to enhance security and operational awareness by ensuring that potential issues are quickly brought to attention, thereby enabling timely investigation and mitigation of risks.
Flagging Traffic. Certified flaggers shall be provided in sufficient number and locations as necessary for control and protection of vehicular and pedestrian traffic in accordance with the VWAPM. Flaggers shall be able to communicate to the traveling public in English while performing the job duty as a flagger at the flagger station. Flaggers shall use sign paddles to regulate traffic in accordance with the VWAPM. Certification for flaggers will be awarded upon a candidate’s satisfactory completion of an examination. Certification cards shall be carried by flaggers while performing flagging duties. Flaggers found not to be in possession of their certification card shall be removed from the flagging site and operations requiring flagging will be suspended by the Department until a certified flagger is on-site to perform flagging duties in accordance with the requirements herein. Further, flaggers performing duties improperly will have their certifications revoked.
