First Preference Clause Samples
First Preference. Group A
(i) students in a department or program in which the TAship will be offered; or
(ii) students in an interdisciplinary program with TA budget resources, and for whom the TAship has been granted as part of the funding commitment offered by the Employer.

(ii) students in an interdisciplinary program with TF budget resources; and
(iii) for whom the Employer, at the time of admission to graduate studies, has made a commitment to provide a TFship to the graduate student during her/his program of study and for whom the appointment to a TFship will serve to fulfill that commitment.
First Preference. 1. Any professional staff member who needs college courses to renew a certificate/license, expiring prior to the start of either of the next two (2) school years, which is required to retain current position. * Deadline dates prior to each quarter/semester shall be set by the Executive Director of Human Resources and communicated.
2. Any professional staff member who needs to satisfy HQT requirements for a course currently being taught.
3. Any professional staff member who needs to satisfy a written evaluation requirement by his/her administrator.
First Preference. People who work at least twenty five (25) hours per week in a business or agency with a physical location within the City of Marina. Sales people or consultants who do business in Marina, but who do not have a physical location in Marina will not be considered as working in Marina.
First Preference. That bargaining unit member shall be given preference who is taking a course as part of a degree-granting program and/or who by agreement of the Superintendent/designee is taking course work necessary for provisional licensing in a new area of teaching. In the event that the demand for fee waivers exceeds supply, that bargaining unit member with highest seniority shall receive preference.
First Preference. Group A Is for qualified graduate students registered as:
(i) students in a department or program in which the TAship will be offered; or
(ii) students in an interdisciplinary program with TA budget resources, and for whom the TAship has been granted as part of the funding commitment offered by the Employer
