Firefighters. The probationary period for regularly appointed Firefighters is as follows, in accordance with OAG 24.000 (Firefighter Probationary Program): a. Firefighter Recruit (Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or Paramedic): Must complete a total of an 18-month probationary period inclusive of their time in the classification of Firefighter Recruit EMT or Paramedic and Firefighter.
