Extra Shift Bonus. Employees who work Employer designated shifts shall receive an Extra Shift Premium of five dollars ($5.00) per hour added to their base rate of pay for actual hours worked during the designated shift. An extra shift shall be defined as an employer designated shift that includes work time beyond a Bargaining Unit Employee’s regularly scheduled shift. This does not include shift trades between Employees. The employee will need to complete a written extra shift premium form made available by the Employer. Shifts that qualify for the Extra Shift Premium shall be clearly posted and marked as such as well as shifts which become vacant due to call-offs which the Employer determines to fill. Employer may cancel the bonus shift designation within five (5) calendar days of the scheduled shift if the Employer is able to hire additional staff to work the shift at their base rate of pay. In order to qualify for the extra shift premium, the employee must work her/his next scheduled shift, unless the employee is unable to work due to an excused absence as defined by the Washington Sick Leave Law. SECTION 15.4: NAC TRAINING The Employer shall pay for the cost or any incurred cost of the NAC training course offered at the Employer's facility or at an off-site location as designated by the Employer. Student’s hours in the NAC Training course are unpaid. SECTION 15.5: CONTINUING EDUCATION AND CPR TRAINING
