Extra Shift. A full-time or part-time nurse will be paid an extra shift 18 differential of fifteen dollars $15.00 per hour ($$16.00 per hour on weekend 19 shifts) for all hours worked per week in excess of the number of the nurse’s 20 regularly scheduled hours (including regularly scheduled weekend hours) for 21 the week when such excess hours result from the nurse’s working extra 22 shift(s) of at least four (4) hours each in duration, at the request of the 23 Medical Center,. For the purposes of the preceding sentence, regularly 24 scheduled hours actually worked, regularly scheduled hours not worked 25 because of the application of MDO, and regularly scheduled hours not 26 worked because the Medical Center has required attendance at a specific 27 education program, will be counted as regularly scheduled hours worked for 28 the week . Hours worked in determining eligibility for this extra shift 29 differential will not include hours worked as a result of trades.

Extra Shift. Should the Employer require an afternoon or evening shift, the Union and the Employer shall meet to arrange provisions and rates of pay to govern any shift different than what is currently provided for.
