Extending Leave Clause Samples

The Extending Leave clause defines the conditions and procedures under which an employee may request additional time off beyond their initially approved leave period. Typically, this clause outlines the process for submitting an extension request, such as required notice periods and any necessary documentation, and may specify whether approval is at the employer's discretion. Its core practical function is to provide a clear framework for handling leave extensions, ensuring both parties understand their rights and obligations, and minimizing misunderstandings regarding extended absences.
