Extended Child Care Leave. ‌ Upon completion of maternity, adoption and/or parental leave, including any extension to such leaves, a regular employee will be entitled, upon written application, to a leave of absence without pay to care for the child. Subject to Clause 11.3(a), the following conditions shall apply:

Extended Child Care Leave. 14.3.1 The Employer shall grant an extension of their childcare leave provided that the employee applies in writing to Office of Human Resources and Legal Services at least thirty (30) calendar days prior to the date such leave is to commence or as soon as practicable. Employer will respond with a decision regarding said leave, or a request for additional information within fourteen (14) calendar days. Both expectant mother(s)/fathers(s) are eligible for an extended childcare leave for the birth of their child or placement of a child with the employee(s) for adoption/xxxxxx care.
