Common use of Examination Procedure Clause in Contracts

Examination Procedure. Any employee has the right to examine the results of his/her own examination. These documents are confidential and they cannot be removed from the files, except as set forth in the following paragraph. The contents of promotional documents will be made known only to the Sheriff and his/her designated representatives, and the employee and his/her designated representatives. Commencing the first full pay period following promotion, the promoted employee shall receive the rate of the new classification at the same step paid the employee prior to the promotion. All promoted employees shall be on job probation for a period of six (6) months immediately following the promotion. During such probationary period, the Sheriff may demote the employee to his/her former classification or the employee may, on his own volition and in writing, request to be relieved of his/her new position and be returned to his/her former classification.
