Ethnic Diversity. The parties recognize that recent immigrant workers are employed by the Employer and are a vital element to the success of the facility. While English is the language of the workplace, the Employer recognizes the right of employees to use the language of their own choice amongst themselves when not in the presence of customers. The Employer is committed to a program to improve its ability to communicate with employees who do not communicate in English. To that end the Employer agrees: It will, within a reasonable period of time, provide training materials, program announcements, and bulletin board notices where practical, to communicate in the principal languages of its employees.
