Estimating your usage. (a) We can provide you with a bill based on estimated usage if: (i) access to the meter is denied due to your action or that of a third party, or due to weather conditions, an industrial dispute or other reasons beyond our control; (ii) you are leaving the supply address and need a final bill immediately; (iii) access to your meter is denied for safety reasons; (iv) the meter or ancillary equipment has recorded usage incorrectly; (v) the meter has been tampered with or bypassed; or (vi) you are moving in to your supply address and no meter reading was carried out on the day the previous customer left the supply address. In this case we will estimate the amount of gas used by you and the previous customer and try to fairly allocate the charges between you. (b) If we need to base your bill on estimated usage, we can do so based on: (i) your reading of the meter; (ii) your prior billing history with us; (iii) if we don’t have your prior billing history, then we can use: (A) the average usage of gas at the supply charge that applies to you; (B) the average usage for your type of (C) the average usage at your supply address. (c) If we provide you with a bill based on estimated usage and we are later able to read your meter, then we will adjust the estimated bill in accordance with the meter reading, unless: (i) the estimated bill was used to finalise your account; or (ii) we accepted your reading as the meter reading to base the bill on and the subsequent reading shows an error in your favour. (d) If we provide you with a bill based on estimated usage because you denied us access to your meter, and you subsequently request that we replace an estimated bill with a bill based on a reading of your meter, then we will do so as long as you allow us access to the meter and pay any reasonable charge we request.

Estimating your usage. (a) We can provide you with a bill based on estimated usage may estimate the amount of gas consumed at the premises if:
(i) the meter cannot be read or your metering data is not obtained because of your actions or reasons beyond our control (for example, if access to the meter is denied due to your action not given or that of a third partythe meter breaks down, is tampered with, is bypassed, or due to weather conditions, an industrial dispute or other reasons beyond our control;is faulty); or
(ii) you are leaving vacating the supply address premises and need require a final bill ▇▇▇▇ immediately;; or
(iii) access we are otherwise permitted to your meter is denied for safety reasons;do so under this contract, including in accordance with clause 9.5(b); or
(iv) the meter or ancillary equipment has recorded usage incorrectly;
(v) the meter has been tampered with or bypassed; or
(vi) you are moving in to your supply address and no meter reading was carried out on the day the previous customer left the supply address. In this case we will estimate the amount of gas used by you and the previous customer and try to fairly allocate the charges between youotherwise consent.
(b) If we need to base estimate your bill on estimated usageconsumption, we can will do so based onon the basis of:
(i) your reading of the meter;prior billing history; or
(ii) your prior billing history with us;
(iii) if we don’t you do not have your a prior billing history, then we can usethe average consumption:
(A1) the average usage of gas at the supply charge that applies to you;premises; or
(B2) at the average usage standard tariff you are paying; or
(3) for your type of
(C) the average usage at your supply addressof meter.
(c) If we provide you with estimate the amount of gas consumed at the premises to calculate a bill based on estimated usage and ▇▇▇▇, we are later able to read your meter, then we will adjust the estimated bill in accordance with the meter reading, unlessmust:
(i) clearly state on the estimated bill was used to finalise your account▇▇▇▇ that it is based on an estimation, that you can request the basis and reason for the estimation, and a verification of an estimation and a meter reading; orand
(ii) we accepted when your reading as meter is later read, except for your final ▇▇▇▇, adjust your next ▇▇▇▇ for the meter reading to base difference between the bill on estimate and the subsequent reading shows an error in your favourgas actually consumed.
(d) If a later meter read shows that you have been undercharged, we provide will allow you to pay the undercharged amount in instalments, in accordance with a bill based on estimated usage because you denied us access clause 11.1.
(e) If the meter has not been read due to your meteractions, and you subsequently request that we us to replace an the estimated bill ▇▇▇▇ with a bill ▇▇▇▇ based on a an actual reading of your the meter, then we will do so as long as comply with your request provided you allow us access to the meter and pay meter. We may charge you any reasonable charge cost we requestincur in doing so.
