Equal Paychecks. The City shall make every attempt, within the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act, to ensure that straight-time pay does not vary for any individual from pay check to pay check. The City shall incur no obligation, monetary or otherwise, if it is legally prohibited from implementing or maintaining such a procedure. In order to accomplish this equalizing of straight-time pay, the City will utilize the "shift adjustment balance" procedure described below.
