Common use of Employees to be Union Members Clause in Contracts

Employees to be Union Members. All employees who are members of the Union shall maintain such membership in good standing as a condition of employment. Every employee shall as a condition of employment, join the Union after not more than FIFTEEN (15) calendar days and shall maintain membership in good standing. The District, if supplied with Union membership application forms, shall deliver same to each new employee on date of hiring, or as soon thereafter as is practicable and require the employee to sign it and return it to the District. The District shall then provide them to the Union.
