Common use of EMERGENCY LEAVE DAYS Clause in Contracts

EMERGENCY LEAVE DAYS. a. Three (3) emergency days will be available for Employees at the discretion of the Superintendent of Schools for the Employee‟s unavoidable absence. All Personal Business Leave Days must be used prior to consideration for Emergency Leave Days. b. Emergency leave is designed to provide an opportunity for an Employee to have time off for an emergency which in the opinion of the Superintendent of Schools cannot be taken care of except during school hours. Prior approval is necessary by the Superintendent of Schools, and written documentation may be required at the discretion of the Superintendent of Schools to justify the need for emergency leave.
