Emergency Excess. Teaching Hours occur when there is an unplanned absence of a teacher and another teacher agrees to take a class with less than 24 hours notice. In such circumstances, emergency Excess Teaching Hours shall be paid for at the casual teaching rate as set out in Schedule B - Hourly Rates for Casual Teachers, Co-ordinators and Counsellors.
