Eligible Lists. In the event the use of an eligible list is stayed pursuant to court order, upon the removal of such stay such eligible list shall continue in existence for a period not less than 60 days and for such additional period as may be determined by the Department of Civil Service, except that in no event shall such 60 day period extend the life of any eligible list beyond the statutory limit of four years.
Eligible Lists. The names of the examinees shall be placed on the eligible list in accordance with their grades: The one receiving the highest grade shall be placed first on the list. In the event two or more examinees receive the same grade, the date of application for the position shall be used to determine the order of their names on the list. The top three names shall be provided for the appointment of one person to the position. Eligible lists established under this agreement shall continue for two years. In the event that a vacancy occurs prior to the expiration of the two year time period the list shall continue for the purpose of filling such vacancy until the vacancy is filled.
Eligible Lists. In the event Open, Restricted and/or Promotional examinations fail to produce successful candidates from among City employees represented by the Union, the City and the Union may meet to discuss whether specific on-the-job or other training programs should be initiated to upgrade the skills of interested employees.
Eligible Lists. The eligibility list for the classifications of Chief Officer, Fire Captain, Fire Lieutenant, and Fire Equipment Operator shall be effective for a four (4) year period. The lists for Fire Lieutenant and Fire Captain and Chief Officer will be in effect from April 1 through March 31. The Fire Equipment Operator eligible list will be in effect from June 1 through May 31.
Eligible Lists. 1. An eligible list may be deemed exhausted when it contains less than three (3) eligibles willing to accept appointment. The duration of all eligible lists shall be fixed by the Onondaga County Department of Personnel, but shall neither be less than one (1) nor more than four (4) years.
