Eligibility and Payment of Sick Benefits. i) In order to be eligible for sick leave benefits, the employee must inform his/her immediate Manager or designate of the employee’s illness prior to the commencement of the scheduled shift. Where the employee is unable to do so at the commencement of the shift he/she shall advise the Manager by end of the day unless such notice is not reasonably possible. Failure to do so will result in the days off being without pay.
