Electronic Resources. 7.7.1. The College will provide accessible e-mail and College network access for all faculty. The College’s electronic resources are considered State resources, the use of which is governed by State law and College policy. Materials produced, transmitted or stored on College computers or electronic systems are subject to inspection and disclosure as required by College policy and State law.

Fees are set by agreement with the publisher and CIFNAL/ICBFN and will vary according to product. Institutions choosing to subscribe to individual resources will be assessed a participation fee for access. Fees will, at minimum, reflect cost-recovery by the CIFNAL/ICBFN and CRL, and may also include additional charges to support the administration the license agreements and/or project activities of CIFNAL/ICBFN. The Xxxxxx-Xxxxxx Lake School District also provides a Chromebook & Digital Device Handbook that tells more of our purpose and outlines expectations for students and staff receiving these devices. The Manual also describes the Chromebook maintenance fee and coverage for damage or theft. I assume responsibility for the care and proper use of SBLSD technology assigned to me. I understand that failure to honor the responsibilities outlined may result in access to technology, the Internet, and other electronic media being denied in the future. Any student/staff misuse of district resources will be subject to disciplinary action outlined in the SBLSD Student Rights, Responsibilities, and Regulations. I acknowledge the Digital Device Coverage Program (Assurance), and understand that if I do not participate in the program I am responsible for the full replacement cost if my devices are damaged or stolen. DATA SECURITY The use of district-provided technology requires students/staff to abide by all SBLSD policies and procedures related to the Acceptable Use Procedures for Electronic Resources, local, state, and federal laws. We are confident students/staff will use district technology and network resources responsibly and keep their district-issued devices safe, secure, and in good working order. The effective use of the Chromebook depends upon the use of additional Google services and other educational software tools deemed appropriate by the district. A list of current SBLSD approved educational tools and services can be found on our Children’s Online Privacy Protections Act webpage (COPPA). The district intends to record live zoom classrooms for educational use, a recording of your child may be visible. Students may receive one-on-one educational services on Zoom. Electronic Resources. Section 5. Unless there is prior reason to believe that a Bargaining Unit Member is using a computer improperly, there will not be routine or random inspection of computers. Where required by law enforcement, court order, subpoena, etc., computers will be inspected as required.
