The ELECTRONIC GRADEBOOK clause establishes the use of a digital system for recording, managing, and communicating student grades and academic progress. Typically, this clause outlines the responsibilities of educators to input grades into an approved online platform, specifies access rights for students and parents, and may set timelines for grade updates. Its core function is to ensure transparency, accuracy, and timely communication of academic performance, thereby reducing misunderstandings and streamlining the grading process.
ELECTRONIC GRADEBOOK. Teachers will utilize the Board-approved electronic gradebook and input grades reflecting the validity and reliability of student progress on a consistent and continual basis throughout the grading period.
ELECTRONIC GRADEBOOK. 11.3.1 The Board may require teachers to utilize an electronic gradebook system for updating student progress. Computers shall be readily accessible to teachers for accessing and updating the electronic gradebook system. Teachers shall be trained in the use of the technology prior to being required to utilize the program. Teachers will not be required to update student progress more than 2 times per grading period; however, more regular updates are encouraged. Grades posted in the gradebook will reflect an honest effort on the part of the teacher to provide accurate information regarding student progress. Teachers shall not be held responsible for inadvertent security breaches.
ELECTRONIC GRADEBOOK. The official gradebook for each class shall be Infinite Campus or its equivalent. It is expected that teachers will regularly update the electronic gradebook to allow parental monitoring of grades.
