Common use of Effective Date and Notification Clause in Contracts

Effective Date and Notification. Any discipline or dismissal shall be effective as of the moment the Employee is notified in writing by the Employer. The Union shall be notified in writing by the Employer within twenty-four (24) hours of such discipline or dismissal. Notification shall include the reason(s) for discipline or dismissal. Any such notification may be sent by registered mail, courier, hand delivery or by electronic mail.
