Education Incentive Program. Employees who possess an associate’s degree shall receive an annual stipend of $700, payable on or about December 1 of each year. Employees who possess a bachelor’s degree shall receive an annual stipend of $1,000, payable on or about December 1 of each year. Payments shall not be considered overtime rates and shall not be pensionable. Transcripts will be required for eligibility in this program. This program is limited to one degree only. Employees must be full-time police officers with the Department for three (3) years to be eligible.
